New Saints CME Church

MESSAGE FROM THE PASTOR

Greetings in The Name of Christ our Lord:

Since the wonderful merger of St. James and New Hope into New Saints C.M.E. Church, I have observered the results of the power of God working in our congregation.  I watched two different congregations with different ideas merge all effort into the vision that God has given me without false pretense or doubt.  As a result of the love shown through the actions of our members, the two different congregations have emerged into one unified body of Christians.  I commend each member for the effort made to love one another.

I am excited about the effort that our church is making to help the community in which we are a part.  We are using the AIM Program to help parents and their children make appropriate decisions.  The response and feedback, from both parents and students, have been very positive.  A special "Thank You" goes to Cister Carolyn Harper, wife of Brother Roger Harper, for the outstanding work she has done in helping my wife and I to implement the AIM Program at our church.  Also, I want to give a special recognition for all of our men who consistently helped with the SNAP Events; and to our ladies who have given of their time to prepare the meal and serve our children on Saturday mornings.  God placed me here for the purpose of making a difference in the lives of others, and I thank you for loving support that is strong and caring.

As we celebrate our fifth year of our merger with a sense of love and gratitude for each person who has assisted in making our merger a wonderful experience.  I give thanks to God who provide me this exceptional opportunity to serve this church and the people of this community.  I thank my wife for supporting my call to the ministry, and I thank the wonderful congregation of New Saints for the love and support given to both my wife and I on a consistant basis.  Special recognition goes to each officer and member of our church, because without your support, prayers, tithes, offerings, and time, none of the accomplishments achieved this past year would have been possible.  New Saints, may God continue to bless your efforts.

Sincerely,

Dr. Charles E. Henderson, Pastor
